The first Orange Sungold tomatoes finally ripened. I'm surprised they took so long to ripen considering they're cherry tomatoes. The flavor is pretty good, but I'm still not a huge fan of cherry tomatoes. I don't like how they burst in your mouth when you eat them.
I'm growing sungolds also. We love they way they burst in your mouth and we call them the "burst of golden sunshine in your mouth tomato." Our sungolds have been coming in for the past three weeks and we are in zone 5. You have other veg ripening before us, ie potatoes, so it is odd that they are "late" compared to your other crops.
